Picture-less

Sometimes I don't post because well for example my camera is in Amelias room and she's naping so I end up not posting and then get so far behind I skip it sooo, I'll just have to make due with what I've got! my fingers :)
Christmas:
This was our first year staying home for Christmas...And I LOVED IT! I wish there were two days of Christmas so we could do a Family one and a home family one, alas there isn't and we had to miss out on lots of family but we did enjoy ourselves. Amelia never touched the presents but sure loved the tree. Once she figured out (on Christmas day) that toys came in the packages she would help us open them. She loved all her second hand gifts I got her her whole Christmas from friends kids out growing their toys, and the goodwill. And she loved them just as much if they were brandnew :) Lydon was surprised that I was tricking him when I told him I didn't get him anything. I did my own shopping this year because I didn't wanna do returns this year so yay and Lydon did get me a big surprise the game Aquire, we LOVE IT! Christmas left alot quicker than it game but it was fun we enjoyed a brunch at some friends house and then came back to the piles of wrapping paper.

Vegas Vegas Vegas

Because my sister's wedding date changed after I bought the ticket to fly into Vegas and drive to St. George I was stuck with a non refundable ticket to Las Vegas. Instead of crying over a lost large sum of money I turned it into a sister (Arianna & Brittney) Vegas Vacation :) we had a BLAST!!!

Day ONE: its really day two because my fight was so late I left from Eugene to San Diego to Vegas. I really don't much like flying because it stresses me out. I am always worried I'll miss my flight I stress if I am not there 2 hours before and then end up sitting by my gate even if I have to go to the bathroom in case someone takes my seat. SOO I was glad to have made it in Vegas. We stayed in the stratosphere, furthest from the strip but on the strip but nice rooms. I stayed up till 4 am watching TV :)

Day TWO: Wake up at the crack of dawn and can't go back to sleep so I get everyone else up and we start our VEGAS VACATION. We actually went to the Vegas Temple and did some baptisms it was fun we were the only ones there. THEN we walked down the strip and stop at the Circus Circus we saw some amazing acts and took lots of goofy pictures. We did more site seeing down the strip and realized we should have drove closer. By the end of the day we had at least put in 8 miles of walking at least we had common sense and didn't wear heels like some of the crazies.

Day THREE: We drive half way down the strip and do more site seeing we went to the M&M factory and saw some shows and the TAWNY SCRAWNY LION...Okay it wasn't really him but we did see the lion at the MGM grand. We also took a 'magic carpet ride' which was hilarious, I'll have to try to find a way to post it.
Day FOUR: we we're pretty much DEAD our feet and backs killed, we had been going going and we were almost gone so we slept in and spent a lazy day in the hotel booked a show 'Cique du Soleil' (Serk-Doo-Solay) 'KA' performance its french and the tickets arn't very cheap but IT WAS THE BEST SHOW EVER!!!! I wish I could put into words how amazing it was because it was Awesome. I would never take Lydon to Vegas because I know he'd hate it, there is a ton of sleaze and junk but I would blind fold him and take him to the show we saw I loved it and was in aww the whole time.

Day FIVE: We go to church and then get some food and go to a park and play killer bunnies (we played this game all the time I pretty much won 75% of the time)till its our time to fly home (Ari that crazy girl slept in the airport till her morning flight). I had an amazing time with my sisters even though the estrogen can run a little high with 3 females it was a blast and I got some time to myself and re-boost for a happier mom and wife :) my flight home was a little crazy running from flight to flight back home but it was nice to be there. Amelia was smiling ear to ear when she saw me just pointed and laughed and ran to give me a big hug :) and my awesome husband who cooked cleaned and had everything ready for my return.
While I was gone: Amelia stayed with Alexis her 'other mom' she loves it there! When Lydon went to church and she saw Alexis she started crying for her (too cute)!! AND Poor Amelia got sick :( Luckily daddy was able to stay home on Saturday and just have a sick day.

More Ideas

Second Hand

It might be a bit out of your comfort zone to go second hand shopping, and you might have to dig around a bit... BUT you can find some great deals on things that you need but are just too expensive, that are still in great working condition.
Yardselling is a great way to get a bargin on childrens clothes. At any retail store an outfit would cost me about $20.00 I was able to get over 15 outfits for $3.50. That alos goes for Thirft stores too.

Freezer Meals

I just had an Enrichment night and learned all about freezer cooking! I was amazed at how handy this could be. I haven't yet tried it but I am going to. The idea was to be able to
"cook for a day, and eat for a month
."
I'll have to post more on that later.

Cut the Power Bill

True story (facts may vary slightly)

My sister moved into her aunts house who was spending apx. $80.00- $90.00 dollars on the power bill monthly with just two people. Once my sister moved in with 6 people she cut the power bill to apx $40.00 - $45.00.

HOW May you ask?

UNPLUGING

unplug things once you finish using them, even if they are turned OFF you still are using power. UNPLUG THAT microwave, toster, t.v., washer&dryer, EVERYTHING and shut off the lights once you leave a room. Seriously people its huge amounts you can save.
